Hultsfredfestivalen

Apparently, there is some sort of vote going on about who's to play at one of Sweden's best festivals called Hultsfredfestivalen. So, help us out if you got the time: go here to place your vote. The list is in alphabetical order, click on our name and the click on 'Önska' at the bottom of the page. Thanks.

I will use this blog as my travel-blog while I'm touring in the US so feel free to drop by, place a comment and I will get back to you.

Anyway, Christmas has passed so now we can all get back to our usual stuff. Last night me and the Sailors met up for the first time in a month, tried some new songs - I had a blast. I'm always happy when people have nice stuff to tell me about my songs but when my musicians look at me and says: 'Gustav, this song sounds great' it's something else. I need them to like it, after all they're the ones that have to play the crap all the time. Having a band is fun..

I hope all of you will have an amazing New Year!

Love and respect/G

Pictures from Tullakrokfestivalen!

Alright, here are the pictures from yesterday. We had no photographer that could go in front of the stage so we had to ask our Merchandise- crew to take some pictures, that's why they're so far away. The audience we're awesome yesterday - they just wouldn't stop dancing - thank you for that, folks.

After the show we landed at a pool-party where we had some vodka..a good night.

Live at Lundakarnevalen (Lund, Sweden)

It was a crazy night yesterday. The carneval was bursting and people we're everywhere doing shows or just shouting on the streets.

I think it was probably the most amusing show we've done in a long while with a terrific crowd and a brilliant atmosphere...handclaps, dancing and sing-alongs. I was still shaking it when I came home so I couldn't sleep all night.

Thanks to all of you who showed up, we had a blast! /Gustav.

Live at KB - Malmö, Sweden

Hi. I just woke up feeling quite happy and relaxed. It's raining outside and I feel like staying in. Yesterday, we played on KB in Malmö, opening for Sugarplum Fairy. It was a great, confusing night where nothing and everything worked at the same time. I mean, we worked, we were excited...but the things were burning and the electricity went out a couple of times on stage so we couldn't hear ourselves and I blew some strings again..but we played on and it was one of the best nights in a while - on stage. I even heard that Eric Gadd was there, digging - haha.

Best song: Minnie D. (It sounded nice when the boys didn't know how to end the song and everything collapsed slowly.) /Gustav.

Studentfestival at Konsul Perssons Villa. (Helsingborg, Sweden)

After the show in Lund, we grabbed some beers and went back to Helsingborg again. Me, Jon and Victor went to my place, bought pizza and watched some Bob Dylan-shows on DVD. Opening for us was Eddie Wheeler, check him out, you can find him here on myspace. The mood was friendly all night and the students were partying with all their might. They gave us one hell of an after-party. Nice. Best song: Vagabond's Polka /Gustav.

AFB Festival, Lund

It was an early show, too early. The audience seemed quite tired and
hungover but it went ok. The time was our own fault since we we're
gonna play later that same night in Helsingborg. anyway, it was quite
cool since a lot of people opened their windows to their small student-rooms.
Best song: City Light Moments /Gustav

Live at Hallands Nation, Lund

It was a great night with good people and great atmosphere. It was a small place so at first we weren't suppose to play all six of us but then no one wanted to pass so we all showed up (the band took up half of the room!) Anyway, it was all going great until Jon said he forgot his bass-guitar. He said: 'What should I play on?' Fortunately for Jon, Achordian's studio wasn't too far off so he managed to borrow one. (see picture) We finished quite early with the soundcheck so we had time for a jamsession - that's patrik, drummer, who's rocking on guitar.. We've been playing a lot of shows lately in broad daylight so it was nice to visit a dark pub. .

Listen to: ''Yumeji's Theme'' from the film ''In the mood for love''.
