Live at Hallands Nation, Lund

It was a great night with good people and great atmosphere. It was a small place so at first we weren't suppose to play all six of us but then no one wanted to pass so we all showed up (the band took up half of the room!) Anyway, it was all going great until Jon said he forgot his bass-guitar. He said: 'What should I play on?' Fortunately for Jon, Achordian's studio wasn't too far off so he managed to borrow one. (see picture) We finished quite early with the soundcheck so we had time for a jamsession - that's patrik, drummer, who's rocking on guitar.. We've been playing a lot of shows lately in broad daylight so it was nice to visit a dark pub. .

Listen to: ''Yumeji's Theme'' from the film ''In the mood for love''.

A daytrip to Lund

And then there was Lund. I drove to Malmö in the morning to do an interview with Skånska Dagbladet. Later on, I met up with Jon and Johan in Lund at AF Borgen, Johan even ran off in the middle of his exams to play with us for 30 minutes - impressive isn't it? The event was a radio show that was broadcasted on Radio AF - the student radio in Lund. We played:

Charlie Fay
City Light Moments
Bring Your Arrows
Devil When You Cry
Vagabond's Polka

It all went well although I couldn't quite hear the guy that interviewed me because of all the feedback....

Jolie Holland is awesome. /G

A daytrip to Ystad

Another radio show was made yesterday on Radio Active in Ystad. Jon and Kristian from the band joined in on harmonies and we played 'Devil when you cry' and 'City light moments'. The reason I've played 'Devil when you cry' this much is because of its release as a single the 29th of March.

We drove down and somehow we we're there one hour early, luckily 'Fridolfs Konditori' was open so coffee helped us kill some time. After the radioshow we went in to the newspaper Ystads Allehanda for an interview.

Still no rock n roll and bar fights, just early mornings and shiny happy people..well.

A daytrip to Gothenburg

I haven't got around writing for a while, I'm sorry about that..

Anyway, I was up in Gothenburg visting the promotion company 'SKIVA' that's working with our album right now. Two great guys that is trying to convince swedish media that Gustav & the Seasick Sailors is something else! That's funny when you think about it..

I also played an acoustic version of 'Devil when you cry' on the studentraio K103 and did an interview both for them and for Göteborgs posten. It was a good day but man that town was cold! I tell you, the winterwind in harbour cities!
